Mastodon's monthly active user numbers have risen by 84,579 since the Twitter buyout story broke on Monday (and I do mean across the Mastodon network, not this server)
Mastodon has gained 106,723 monthly active users since the end of March (when Elon bought 9.2% of Twitter's shares). 93,603 are new accounts. Overall that's a 42% increase in Mastodon's MAU.

There is a lot of attention on Mastodon around the world, and I strongly feel that there is a growing sense of urgency about Twitter.
The number of registrations has been increasing a lot, as more and more people are flocking to mastodon.social and other proven and reliable servers!
On the other hand, there seems to be no sense of crisis about Twitter in Japan. Some people talk about the name Mastodon, but I rarely see people actually taking action to register on the server.

いま、ニュースとしてはマストドンのユーザーが30,000人増加、というところまで報じられてるけど、これはもちろん毎日毎時更新されている。
いまEugenさんが新しくもたらしてくれた情報によると、今日私が書いたMAUが42%増っていうのもうガンガン更新されてて、62%増って言ってるね。3月末からの月間でみてるわけだけど、この数日はやはり勢いが半端ない……。

その後、Mastodonにどのぐらい反響があったか、っていう続報もパラパラ入ってきている。
Eugenさんは連合しているMastodonを見えるようにする工夫をしていて、たとえばPleromaやMisskeyなどを除外して、生きているMastodonサーバがどのぐらいあって、それぞれでどのぐらいユーザーの動きがあったのか、などをみているのね。
3月末にイーロンマスクさんがTwitterの株式取得したあたりを起点にして、93,603ほど新規アカウントが増えてるとのこと。
月間アクティブユーザー（MAU）が42%増だそうで、まあMastodon史に記録の残る出来事の一つだよね。
一方、日本は全く無風といっていい状態。mstdn.jpで100人ぐらいは登録増えたかな。fedibird.comは12〜13人ぐらい？ Pawooは特に増えてる感じしないな……。 [参照]
