GitHub feels extremely down right now. Can't even ping any part of it
@geerlingguy I can't reproduce from the East Coast.
DNS issue?
@geerlingguy Comments on DownDetector suggest that there’s an AT&T issue. I’m not a good separate datapoint as I’m also in the STL metro area, but it definitely feels like a large portion of the internet is unavailable.
@DHowett AT&T definitely the issue. DNS happy, but connections not going through.
I VPNed to my office and have no problem whatsoever!
Weird behavior, never had this kind of issue before.
@geerlingguy @DHowett ATT here in Detroit. Can confirm same issue. Also some other sites. I can’t even access deb.debian.org atm
@geerlingguy Extremely slow and unresponsive for me on AT&T fiber in Chicago. Works perfectly over my cell phone's 5G network.
@geerlingguy First Teams, now GitHub? Not a great day for Microsoft engineers.
@kirkman It looks like something through AT&T
@geerlingguy there’s some sort of AT&T routing issue going on in the midwest region. seems to be impacting only some sites.
@geerlingguy Isn't it great the way we've got this source control system that allows for multiple remotes, mirrors, backups, etc., and almost everyone uses it on the same centralised servers?
@DrCuriosity But we centralized all our issue queues and CI systems!
@geerlingguy Centralised our issues in more ways than one, it seems
@geerlingguy yup. AT&T in Kalamazoo, same issue.
