UPDATE: This problem of delayed writes to FAT drives appears to be fixed in macOS Sonoma 14.4 beta 2. We will continue to test later beta releases and then the final release of 14.4 arrive. Track this issue in github.com/adafruit/circuitpyt. Thanks eightycc and romkey for testing!
